Communication: You are critical partners in the education of our students and we are committed to ensuring quality communication. In addition to frequent communication from your student's teacher, you will also receive ParentSquare messages from the school to make sure you are aware of important information and events. Please be sure our office has up-to-date phone numbers and email addresses. We will continue to communicate additional information about the start of school in the coming weeks. Our office will resume regular office hours (7:45-3:45) beginning Monday, August 14th. In the meantime, please connect with myself and/or the following people below for questions or concerns.

Safety: Your student's safety continues to be our foremost priority. Vaccines are required for school attendance and must be up-to-date. Please make sure all of the required vaccines are submitted to school. A list of required vaccines can be found on our district website. However, Covid-19 vaccines are not required by law. If you have any questions about your student's immunizations, please contact our school nurse, Stephanie Aller, saller@upsd83.org.
Teacher Placements: The families of incoming kindergarten students will receive their placements as they complete registration. Placement for all other students can be found by accessing Skyward/Family Access on Wednesday, August 23rd, after 3:30pm. We will not be able to share placements before this time as we are continually working to balance rosters.
Welcome Back Event: Please join us for a Welcome Back Event on Thursday, August 24th from 3:00 - 4:00pm. At this time, you may have an opportunity to informally meet your student's teacher/other staff, drop off supplies, tour the building, and meet our PTSA. You can also access our supply list here.

*While our doors will be open at 7:45 (M, T, TH, F) or 8:45 (W), we will ask the families of students who are not eating to drop off between 8:05 and 8:12 (M, T, TH, F) or 9:05 and 9:12 (W) whenever possible in order for us to maintain appropriate supervision within the building.
Breakfast / Lunch: School breakfast and lunches will now be for purchase for the 2023-24 school year. Please use this link to find more information on how to add money to your student’s account and how to fill out Free and Reduced Lunch eligibility paperwork. Breakfast service will begin at 7:45am (M, T, TH, F) or 8:45am (W) and lunch will be provided at scheduled times throughout the day for each grade level. Drop-Off/ Pick-Up: As we approach the start of the year, we will send additional reminders on drop-off and pick-up procedures. Again, our priority is student safety. Following these procedures will help us ensure orderly and safe transitions to and from school. Drop-off: Please stop at the crosswalk, then proceed when clear as far forward in the blue loop as possible. We ask that you remain in your car and allow our staff to direct your student safely into the building. If you need to enter the office, please park in our lot. Cars cannot be unattended in our loop. Reminders: ● For students eating breakfast, please do not drop off before 7:45am (M, T, TH, F) or 8:45am (W). We will not have staff supervision. ● For students not eating breakfast, please drop off between 8:05 and 8:12 (M, T, TH, F) or 9:05 and 9:12 (W) whenever possible. Pick-up: All students will be picked up at our front loop again this year. As you enter the loop, please stop at the crosswalk. When clear, pull ahead as far forward in the blue loop as possible. Please remain in your car; a staff member will retrieve your student for you. If you need to pull around another car, please stop at the crosswalk and proceed carefully. We ask that right-of-way be given to cars on the inside of the loop (closest to school) so we can keep the line moving. Upon leaving, please exit to the right. This ensures a steady flow of traffic. Attached is a map of our parking lot with a drop-off/pick-up diagram and the surrounding streets to help you plan your route home in the near future.
